"The Christian faithful are free to make known to the pastors of the Church their needs, especially spiritual ones, and their desires. According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, they have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful, without prejudice to the integrity of faith and morals, with reverence toward their pastors, and attentive to common advantage and the dignity of persons". (Code of canon Law Can. 212 §2-3)
"Communication both within the Church community, and between the Church and the world at large, requires openness and a new approach towards facing questions regarding the world of media. This communication must tend towards a constructive dialogue, so as to promote a correctly-informed and discerning public opinion within the Christian community". (Apostolic Letter "The rapid Development" of the Holy Father John Paul II, 2005.1.24 n.12)

8. It is impossible to avoid the Truth

The Truth is manifested relentlessly, although there are still people who try to deny it and trample on it.
These men don’t fear, nor do they show signs of worry before the conviction of an innocent man and before the scandal caused among the countless faithful who know the shameful events of the conspiracy plotted against him.

7. Man’s revenge against the God of Life

Why did they try to “frame” Father Andrea D’Ascanio?

It all started on the 28th of December 1991, with the inauguration of the monument to Mary Mother of the Unborn Children in the cemetery of L’Aquila (Italy).

6. The last act of a farcical process

His Excellency Monsignor Eduardo Davino, in order to give consistency to the statements of the “two fundamental witnesses of the case”, i.e., Alessia Zimei and Gabriella Parisse, wraps himself in the “word” and “testimony” of His Excellency Monsignor Giuseppe Molinari.

5. Show trial: a yet decided judgement

After the full acquittal in the first ecclesiastical process, the Second Instance Tribunal clearly demonstrated its preconceived desire to condemn Father Andrea D’Ascanio and to save the figure of His Excellency Monsignor Molinari, Archbishop de L’Aquila, at any price, a character who, in the acquittal judgment was declared to be the mastermind and orchestrator of the process.

4. The two faces of Ecclesiastical Justice

The First Instance Process

1. The Collegiate Court: With a Decree dated May 26th, 1998, the Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith ordered the constitution of a First Instance Court, whose members were the reverend Monsignor Joaquin LLOBELL, Chief Justice of this collegiate body, Investigating Judge writing the Court’s decision of the “Opus Dei”; the reverend Monsignor Domenico MOGAVERO and reverend Father Giuseppe Angelo URRU, Dominican, with the purpose of instructing the canonic criminal process against Father Andrea D’Ascanio, brother less capuchin. The Promoter of Justice (Public Prosecutor), Don Pier Giorgio MARCUZZI, Salesian. In his status of Patron (Defense Lawyer), Don Ennio INNOCENTI.

3. Don Gabriele Nanni, the Exorcist

Gabriele Nanni has made it his life’s purpose to destroy Father Andrea and the Armata Bianca”
(Archbishop Mario Peressin to Monsignor Piero Vergari)

From the acquittal of Father Andrea D’Ascanio corresponding to the first ecclesiastical process:
From the records and insofar as has been demonstrated (canon 1608 §2), it is clear that Don Gabriele Nanni is one of the plotters behind the conspiracy against Father Andrea D’Ascanio, for which reason (to avoid a possible act of perjury), the Chief Justice-Investigating Judge did not ask him to swear the de veritate dicenda oath (to state under oath to speak the truth)”.

2. A programmed process

On June 9th, 1998, just three days after his official appointment as Archbishop of L’Aquila, His Excellence Monsignor Giuseppe Molinari called the Capuchin Father Andrea D’Ascanio to the Curia and gave him a document from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, previously known as the Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Holy Office, by means of which he was officially notified of the existence of a serious process against him.

The International Committee in favor of Father Andrea D’Ascanio has prepared a summary of the process, extracting several fragments from the records of the process

1. It’s time for the truth.

Father Andrea D’Ascanio, founder of the Armata Bianca of our Lady movement, an organization dedicated to the protection of newly-formed life and early childhood, has been forced, by means of a resolution of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (Secretary’s Office of the Roman Curia), to suspend his activity as spiritual assistant of the aforementioned movement, which keeps its identity that at the time was approved by the archbishop of L’Aquila, Monsignor Mario Peressin, as well as many other bishops.

The members of the International Committee in favor of Padre Andrea D’Ascanio, have submitted requests to discover the real reasons underlying such suspension decision, but to no avail.

Faced with this silence and taking into account the availability of documents that are public knowledge, they pretend to make use thereof so that the ministry developed by Father Andrea remains unharmed in the hearts and minds of those who have benefited from it.

These actions are to be carried out as an act of thanks to God, in virtue of having allowed this humble capuchin padre to be a missionary of the Love of Jesus and Maria if children, who are the principal victims of all forms of physical and moral violence.
